Data

Below are *.zip files that contain 30 years of Typical Meteorological Year (TMY) data for 14 cities in New York State. TMY data are hourly values of solar radiation and meteorological elements for a one-year period. They are typically used for computer simulations of building systems. Because they represent typical rather than extreme conditions, they are not for worst-case scenario designs. Although TMY data are available from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for most cities in the United States, these files provide additional coverage for 1991-2005 in New York State. Weather Analytics created these custom data sets for the period 1986 to 2015 and 2009 to 2015. This data can be used to understand how recent warming of the climate may impact building system performance.
